Procurement is the key element in execution of HIV/AIDS programme. Procurement not only facilitates the programme execution but it create conducive environment for the target group people. The methodology adopted for procurement is through standard tender process and also on-line e-tendering process. The major items/services procured for the programs were O.I. drugs, medical consumables, hoardings, Flex Banners, Mobile Van, blood equipments for BCSU, panel boards, printing of registers, booklets, posters, IEC materials, office stationeries, computers, etc.
The procurement is being done by inviting tenders/quotations from the suppliers/traders, and service contracts are done in case of acquiring services. These activities are done in compliance to the NACO guidelines. The “e-tendering” process is adopted for procurement of consumables and other equipments.
